Landscape as Muse I

Landscape as Muse I

Northern Canada is largely comprised of vast forests, Precambrian rock, and a complex network of lakes and rivers. These unique and beautiful areas of Canada have long inspired the creation of art; we need only look at the "Group of Seven" to confirm this. Landscape as Muse showcases both the world-class artists and spectacular landscapes that are found in Northern Canada. The thirteen artists highlighted work in various visual media: photography, installation, sculpture, and painting. We travel with them to breathtaking locations that have geographical or cultural significance, learn about their working process, and capture their reaction to the environment.
