Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman's unconventional team of ex-detectives - Jack Halford, Brian Lane and Gerry Standing - are once again following their hunches and bending the rules as they look into unsolved murders and mysterious deaths. This season's cold cases include the murder of a respected palaeontologist, the death of a police informant, and a hit-and-run accident that left a young man brain injured.
