Coordinator of Traffic & Broadcast

Knowledge Network Corporation is British Columbia’s public educational broadcaster. We provide all British Columbians with a trusted alternative for the commercial-free exploration of life, connecting them to the world through television and the internet.

We are looking for a highly-motivated individual to temporarily assist us with managing the Network’s broadcast inventory, scheduling and traffic systems. Using Broadview, our vendor-supported fully integrated broadcast management software, you will be required to:

  • Support the automated broadcast of a fully digital channel by scheduling programs, series, and some interstitial inventory, including channel branding, secondary events, on-air styles, and automated promos
  • Act as the staff’s primary resource for training and support with respect to all aspects of program inventory, scheduling and traffic, and software capabilities
  • Create routine and non-routine reports for federal regulators and internally as required

Our successful candidate will have at least 5 years of scheduling/traffic experience, preferably in an automated television environment using Broadview software, Miranda channel branding, and/or Sundance systems in addition to a degree in Broadcast and Media Communications, Information Technology, or other relevant formal education.
