Frank Skinner and Denise Mina follow in the footsteps of literary legends James Boswell and Samuel Johnson, starting in Edinburgh then continuing to Arbroath and "Macbeth country" in the north.

Frank and Denise learn about the Highlands' troubled history as they travel to Loch Ness, the Highland mountains and Skye.

Frank and Denise travel to the remotest islands of the Hebrides - including the "Cradle of Christianity," Iona and Mull, before finishing their journey in Boswell's grand ancestral home, Auchinleck.
