Starting his epic cross-country walk on the west coast of Cumbria, Tony Robinson travels through the Lake District, ending up at England's most remote youth hostel, Black Sail Hut.

Tony is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, where he visits waterfalls, joins in rehearsals with a traditional brass band and views a magnificent garden restoration at Kiplin Hall.

In the North York Moors, Tony admires the ruins of Rievaulx Abbey, meets a grower with a skill for spotting food trends and retraces the movement that led to the creation of the national parks.

Tony heads toward Robin Hood's Bay on the North Yorkshire coast, getting a rare glimpse inside a military base and discovering Whitby's nautical heritage along the way.
