Knowledge Network Strengthens Independent Production Team
Burnaby, B.C. (May 23, 2023) - Changes to Knowledge Network’s independent production team highlight its commitment to support B.C.’s talented and diverse community of screen- based storytellers.
Patrice Ramsay has been promoted to Senior Manager, Independent Production. “This promotion reflects Patrice’s strategic leadership role in Knowledge Network’s commissioning and pre-licensing of original content from independent producers,” said Michelle van Beusekom, Knowledge Network President and CEO. “Patrice holds significant expertise in both the creative and business affairs aspects of content commissioning and also provides sophisticated oversight of our entire slate of projects with regards to our Performance Envelope from the Canda Media Fund.”
A new position, reporting to Ramsay, has also been created within the independent production team. The role of Independent Production Liaison will coordinate and support select business affairs activities and will also coordinate the internal proposal submission process. The position will be a key link between Knowledge Network and the independent production community. More Information is available in the job posting open until June 12, 2023.
Gordon Loverin, who joined Knowledge Network in 2021, has a new title - Production Executive, Original Documentaries - to better reflect his role at Knowledge Network. His role supporting Knowledge Network’s commissions from B.C. filmmakers remains unchanged.
