Burnaby, B.C. (July 10, 2024) – Knowledge Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Mitch Bunda as its new Director of Broadcast Engineering and Information Technology. Mitch will lead on the technical design, management and execution of Knowledge Network’s broadcast television channel and corporate IT infrastructure, as well as provide support for the operation of the Knowledge Network and Knowledge Kids streaming platforms. Mitch steps into the role left by Oliver Eichel, who retired from Knowledge Network in March.

Mitch has over 12 years in the broadcast industry and comes from Corus Radio Vancouver where he was the Chief Broadcast Engineer for CKNW, CFOX, Rock 101 (CFMI), AM730 (CKGO). “I’m excited to join the Knowledge team to help connect people with trusted, commercial-free programming that informs and entertains,” said Mitch Bunda. “The broadcast industry is ever-changing, and I look forward to applying my skills and experience to advance public broadcasting for the next generation of viewers.”
