Vancouver, BC (March 2, 2022) - Knowledge Network is pleased to welcome Indigenous filmmaker Gordon Loverin to B.C.’s public broadcaster as Producer, Original Documentaries.

Gordon Loverin is an experienced storyteller from the Tlingit and Tahltan Nations in northwestern British Columbia. He directed Beyond Human Power, recently broadcast on Knowledge, about new generations of Indigenous dancers connecting with their power through performance. He co-created the television series Kanata, and wrote, produced, and directed the documentary Es Kime Ani for U.S. streaming service NativeFlix.com. Gordon has a broad range of production experience having worked with a number of Canadian broadcasters in news reporting and story production. As a long-time Knowledge viewer, he recognizes the importance of a public broadcaster that opens its doors to new stories and challenging points of view.

Knowledge Network is strengthening its commitment to reflect British Columbia’s diversity through a multi-year initiative that will commission independent arts, culture, history and social issues documentaries from B.C.’s Indigenous and racialized-owned production companies.
